Adoption Timeline

April 7: Noah is HOME!!
April 5: Exit interview at US Embassy in Addis and get Noah's Visa
March 30: We CLEAR USCIS!!! WAHOOO!!
March 19: Notified that our case is "not clearly approvable", AKA sent to USCIS in Nairobi, Kenya
March 6: Email from Embassy that they are attempting to contact the police officer involved in our case.
February 27: Confirmation from Embassy that they are reviewing our case.
February 15: Submitted to US Embassy...waiting for clearance
December 22: Passed Court!!! He is legally our SON!!
November 9: COURT DATE DECEMBER 22ND!!
October 26: Case filed at court...waiting for a court date
October 20: REFERRAL!!!!
July 21: Show Hope Family!
May 23: Received I600A approval!!!!!
May 13: Assigned an officer at USCIS to review our I600A
April 19: DOSSIER TO ETHIOPIA!!!!!
April 14: Fundraiser at Marks Feed Store. Mailed Show Hope paper application and supporting documents.
April 11: Fingerprinted downtown for USCIS. Received email that dossier is at Ethiopian Embassy. Completed online portion of Show Hope application.
April 10: received notice to get fingerprinted from USCIS
April 9: Yard Sale Fundraiser!
April 7: New documents approved and dossier sent to Washington DC
April 5: New dossier documents overnighted to West Sands
March 31: USCIS check cashed
March 30: Received Lifesong matching grant of $2,500!!
March 28: notice from parent agency (West Sands) that 3 of our dossier documents need revision
March 21: submitted dossier and paid second set of fees
March 18: Official home study arrived! Mailed application to Lifesong and Abba Fund.
March 17: I600A mailed to USCIS via Adoption Assistance
March 14: had dossier reviewed at Arise
March 11: Ashley's new passport arrived
March 7: signed contract at Arise and paid first fee
March 3: Home visit portion of home study
Feb 23: Officially accepted into Ethiopia Program at Arise
Feb 22: compiled all home study paperwork and met with Rebecca from Adoption Assistance for first interview
Feb 7: Met with Lesley at Arise and submitted application to their Ethiopia Program
Feb 2: submitted application at Adoption Assistance and started paperwork trail for home study
January 24: Spoke with Lesley, from Arise for Children, on the phone and asked LOTS of questions
